This offering is for 12 glass buttons made in the Czech Republic circa 1990s.
They are beautiful buttons in silver color painted on black glass. The front side is faceted and domed in the center with an indented border around the domed area. The outside edge is faceted and has little indentations to resemble a flower petal border, so in a subtle way they look like big flowers.
These buttons were individually hand made. They were made by being hand pressed in little molds over a flame.
The back side has a metal shank that was molded in for beading or sewing.
The buttons measure 1 1/16" (27mm).
