Soundking CXA041 4-Channel Audio DMX Extender via Cat5 or Cat6 Cable
The CXA041 is a four-channel audio extender box which has four 3-Pin XLR-F inputs and four 3-pin XLR-M outputs in parallel connection and two RJ45 network connectors. Connect a shielded Cat5 Ethernet cable between two boxes to transmit analog or digital audio or DMX.
Network Cable Solution for Audio and DMX
Using a network cable instead of four-way audio cable or DMX lighting signal cable, simply connect a shielded Cat5 Ethernet cable between any two transmission boxes to transmit four-way analog audio signal or AES digital audio signal (note that the network cable must be shielded to conduct the phantom power supply). To address this feature, use the existing Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable infrastructure to connect audio signal from one part of a building to another, or use cheap and lightweight network cable for long-distance transmission, which saves costs and makes wiring much easier. A grounding switch is provided to help eliminate the buzz caused by the grounding circuit. In addition to transmitting audio signals, it can also transmit lighting signals.
