Antique Cabinet Card Photograph. Identified on reverse side as Carlena Street Hastings and dated 1904. Photo by a studio in Providence. Measures approximately 5 x 8 including mount. Image only measures 2.5 x 3.5. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It is in very good condition. Comments: An on-line search turned up the October 27, 1910 issue of the insurance company magazine "The Spectator" which stated in part, "The marriage of Miss Carlena Street Hastings, daughter of Glover S. Hastings, superintendent of agencies of the New England Mutual Life, to Walter Spencer Redfield, Providence, general agent of the company, took place last week at the home of the bride's parents in West Newton. The wedding, which was especially pretty in itself, was made doubly memorable in the fact that the occasion was the silver anniversary of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Hastings." | |
