Western sward fern is one of the most robust and reliably durable. this native fern offers superb texture with glossy, leathery, toothed, dark green foliage and impressive size. dense, vigorous evergreen clumps are formed by many long fronds; up to 4' long in cool shady sites.

western sward ferns are suitable for the homeowners as they are quite easy to grow and maintain. they provide excellent color for shady gardens, natural areas, places other plants wont grow, erosion control, mass planting, boarders, baskets, planters, porches, patio gardens, poolside and even in the sun if they are watered often but they will be smaller and more compact. they dislike indoor conditions.
she is easy to grow as long as she gets consistent watering and part to full shade. she likes compost rich, acidic soil. you can acidify your soil by adding peat moss to your soil.
Western sward fern is deer and rabbit resistant and is not bothered by bugs, slugs or disease.

I send directions with all spores. spores are easy to grow as long as you follow my directions and have patience, they will take about 6 months from planting to having a fern.1000 spores can yield allot of ferns. I use a plastic lidded, deli  container or similar container.
you will need a plastic lidded container, a spray bottle and clean potting soil. the best lighting to use is a regular LED, florescent or spiral bulb. fancy plant lights aren't any better and are a costly waist of your money. the spores need light to grow.
