The coin also earned the First Releases designation, indication that the coin was received by NGC within thirty days of release. The £2 coin is presented in a black core NGC protective holder accompanied by a certification label ornamented with a stunning color photo of London's Tower Bridge.
This silver bullion coin celebrating the iconic rock band Queen, is the first release of The Royal Mint's Legends of British Music series. The 2020 Queen coin is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver, its mintage limited to just 25,000. The reverse design by Chris Facey features the band name "QUEEN" at the centre, surrounded by an array of instruments including a guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, drum and a microphone. The keyboard surface is enhanced with latent detailing, which alludes to the introductory notes of "Bohemian Rhapsody!"
