~~~~~~PLEASE NOTE~~~~~~ First Day Covers (FDC) are very popular with collectors for several reasons...first, they have a cancellation dated the very FIRST DAY of a stamp issue...NO OTHER DATE after that will qualify, so more of a particular FDC cannot be produced when they sell out. Second, they are much larger than a postage stamp and therefore very appropriate for framing and display...and Third, they are printed in tiny quantities compared to the postage stamp attached was, making them more scarce and more valuable!.
