Wild Sky Gear Adhesive patches: add a mitten hook, a loop, or a pair of buckles to your DCF tent, tarp or anything else made of DCF for that matter. Great for hanging socks and gloves up to dry, anchoring a lantern, or adding a clip to the interior of your DCF pack.

Sticks to thermarests: great for securing your pillow to your mat.

Specifications

The finest 3M reaction adhesive for strong holding power. Forms a structural bond with DCF/Cuben fibre. Also sticks to thermarests. May work with other fabrics, but never silicon coated ones.

Loadbearing? NO These are light duty for lanterns etc. If you need full strength tie outs that can take extreme stress check out my adhesive tie outs.

Instructions

Remove all the backing paper, ensure the DCF surface you are bonding to is completely clean and dry. If you are bonding to 2.92oz DCF it must be the Shiny side, not the rough polyester outer. Press the adhesive backing firmly into the DCF you are bonding.

A bond will now form and you are ready to go! If you can, try leaving the patch resting with as much weight pressing down on them as possible for 16 hours. This is technically not necessary, but it will achieve maximum bond strength

Wild Sky Gear was started by Skye McGregor, a British 15 year old who hiked Lands’ End to John O'Groats solo. I hiked through the winter and to keep my pack light started making my own gear and then sold some of the surplus. This turned out to be a bit more successful than I had anticipated, and now I’m constantly sewing.
