Tall DCF dry bags Add extra storage to your pack!

I lash these tall, slim drybags to the sides and base of my pack giving me up to 18L of extra storage space and loads of convenience when setting up and breaking camp.

Most store their tent deep in their rucksack. Packing it in the rucksack leaves them and their gear exposed to the elements while they pack, with the big muddy tent dirtying their gear.

I pack fully and get ready to hike in the comfort of my tent then quickly pack it into this dry bag, lash that to my pack, et voila: ready to hike, completely dry! Evening? The tent’s easy to find, is pitched without opening my pack, and I can fully unpack in its shelter. Who’d of thought one small dry bag could make such a difference?

Don’t store moisture sensitive items in these on the outside of your pack e.g. a down sleeping bag. A tent on the other hand is no problem.

*please note the dry bag is made from grey DCF, not the white DCF shown. Same material, better colour.

*DURABILITY* please read:

The 1oz fabric is tough stuff, typically used in tent groundsheets, however the outside of your pack is subject to extreme abrasion, especially when lashed under your pack, as a result it is likely you’ll get cuts and holes. Be careful not to grind it along the ground or catch it on barbed wire, thorns etc, you could damage it. Any cuts can easily be repaired with repair tape.

A much tougher version made out of 2.92oz/yrd2 DCF is available.

I carried my tent in this dry bag 1500miles from lands’ end to john o groats strapped under my pack, grating along the ground and catching on barbed wire all the way, it survived the whole hike and I still use it today, but it has had to be patched quite a bit. My DCF tent took no damage.

By buying you accept FULL responsibility for any damage or loss of you gear that could result from use of this product, especially when used on the outside of your pack.

About Wild Sky Gear

Wild Sky Gear was started by Skye McGregor, a British 15 year old who hiked Lands’ End to John O'Groats solo. I hiked through the winter and to keep my pack light started making my own gear and then sold some of the surplus. This turned out to be a bit more successful than I had anticipated, and now I’m constantly sewing.

PS: I really appreciate feedback on my items and service. Please let me know how everything is - I love hearing about how you're using my gear and the adventures you're going on :)

Water resistance:

This product has taped seams, a roll top construction and is made from waterproof (HH20,000) DCF. It will keep your gear dry under normal conditions, but isn't intended for submersion, kayaking or watersports. Like all manufacturers, I would advise that you protect moisture sensitive items with a zip lock bag.
