This is a Rare Authentic Home  Game Worn New Jersey Devils Inaugural Season 1982-83 Sandow SK Mesh size 54 used in games  by Carol Vadnais . This would be his last NHL game  jersey as he would retire after the season and return to the New York Rangers that he played the previous season for and join their coaching staff.Carol was a well respected former NHL player when he would come from the Junior OHA Montreal Canadiens after 2 years in Junior 1964-66 and join the parent Montreal Canadiens in the NHL in 1966. His first 2 seasons in the NHL he would play for Montreal and their minor league affiliate CPHL Houston Apollos when he would be traded in 1968 to the Oakland Seals for 2 seasons and remain 2 more seasons when they would change to the California Golden Seals until 1972. During the 1972 season he would be traded to the Boston Bruins where he would remain for 5 seasons and would be traded to the New York Rangers in the 1975-76 season where he would remain for 7 seasons until 1982 when he would be trade to the New Jersey Devils in 1982 when they came into the NHL after relocating from Colorado the former Colorado Rockies organization. After the Devils inaugural season 1982-83 he would retire and join the New York Rangers as a assistant coach before taking a position as the Head Coach for the Verdun Junior Canadiens coming full circle  back to his Montreal roots and then finally retiring from hockey.During his long successful career he would play for Team Canada during the World Championships in 1977 and appear in 6 NHL All Star Games to his credit plus two Stanley Cups , one with Montreal and one with Boston.During his NHL career he would play 1087 games scoring 169 goals and 418 assists for 587 point along with 1811 penalty minutes. This jersey would be worn also by Ken Daneyko in his rookie season in 1983-84 as the Sandow Jerseys would be used by the Devils for the start of the 1983 season training camp campaign. This is a great piece of NHL hockey memorabilia from a true NHL Legend to have for your collection. I would like also note that Carol was part of the Block Buster trade that shook the hockey world when the Boston sent Phil Esposito  and Carol Vadnais too the New York Rangers for Brad Park, Jean Ratelle and Joe Zanussi that greatly benefited the Rangers.
