This "KANETAKA-kyoto" original leather knife is made by traditional Japanese forging techniques,
and very easy to use for cutting leather.
It's loved by leather craftsman in Japan.
Handmade and Hand-sharpened by the skilled Japanese craftsman.
2 layer strucutre : Core:Japanese carbon steel ("HITACHI METALS" Shirogami steel).
                  Outer layer:Extremely soft ion.
These 2 iron gives great sharpeness and very easier re-sharpening to the blade.
It gets rust.

[Precautions for Use]
Don't use the knife for purposes other than cutting leather .
Use a cutting board.
Don't use the knife over hard materials such as metal. 

[Daily Maintenance]
After use, clean the blade and apply machine oil to it.
Don't store in humid place.
Store knife in a ventilated, and safe location.
This knife gets rust.
If rusting occurs, grind the knife with a grindstone.
The sharpness can be maintained by sharpening the blade with whetstone (Toishi).
