1887 and 1928 Ornate Danish Silver Spoons

 

 

This beautiful pair is in good condition.

The spoons are both Danish.

The larger spoon has an ornate design and is well hallmarked to the back with the Danish Assay Three Tower mark and the number 87 for 1887. It also has the Assay masters mark of SG for Simon Groth.

There is a makers mark of NA. This particular spoon has a softly gilded bowl. There is a tiny pin prick size indent to the bowl.

The smaller spoon is hallmarked in the same manner with the number 28 for 1928. The Assay masters Mark is CFH for Chr F Heise. This spoon has a gorgeous beaded edge to the handle tip. There is a tiny dark spot to the bowl as shown.

The larger spoon is 163mm long, the smaller one is 150mm long. The pair weigh 34.4gms.

 

 

 For Imperial measurement users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
