By attaching the Lens Mount Converter FD-EOS, you can mount certain FD lenses onto your EOS camera body and thus further expand your EOS system.
The FD-EOS Lens Converter accepts telephoto FD lenses. Optical performance of the lens is maintained; although the actual focal length becomes extended by 1.26X on Full Frame Sensor.
A APS size sensor will effectively increase focal length by another 1.6x. 300mm 2.8 FD lens + converter= 378mm + APS sensor, effective focal length =604mm @ f3.5 !!
I have been using my personal adapter on a T1i with a 300mm FD Fluorite with stunning results. Makes a fast 600mm on APS .
