Definitive issue from August 1923, with a simple but effective number in an elaborate oval design. This was the second release of this design, with the waffle or Waffeln watermark (Wz. 2). As inflation started to take a grip in Germany, the values range from 50 to 1,000,000 RM. This is the slightly less common 5000 RM value, the black opal-green variant c.
