The latch set comes with staple and keep, is the most popular style of thumb latch in door hand forged ironmongery. Sold as a set with all fixing screws.

Can be used as a replacement for a missing part from an existing penny Suffolk thumb latch set.

Staple Pin -
Used in conjunction with thumblatches, on doors to allow locking. Supplied with a leather thong and metal pin to stop the movement of the latch bar.
This is a replacement staple pin in case of a missing part from an existing thumblatch set.

A neat little device that we designed based on one seen on the door of a garden privy in a south Shropshire village. Our Privy Drop is handmade by our blacksmith and, as we hope our pictures show, enable you to lock a latched door from the inside thus ensuring some peace and quiet.
