GRAND MIROIR A POSER EN BISCUIT DE SEVRES XIXème

Biscuit en deux tons.

Le miroir ovale entouré d'un perlé et d'une guirlande de lauriers est au centre d'un panneau en lucarne.
Le fronton est un médaillon de femme (Marie Antoinette?) entouré de guirlandes et ceint de part et d'autre de cornes d'abondances.
Les attributs de Mars ornent le bas du miroir; une guirlande de rubans est mêlée à un semis de fleurs et boutons.
Deux drapés, des acanthes et des volutes sont la partie basse de ce beau miroir.
Le travail est probablement de Sèvres car il n'y a aucune marque malgré la qualité et la richesse de détails.
D'ailleurs Sèvres a fait des biscuits à l'imitation du jaspe de Wedgwood.
L'extrême rareté de ce miroir à poser est due à sa matière peu utilisée pour un miroir et de fait à sa fragilité.

Très bon état pour ce type d'objet. Les drapés du bas ont été réparés anciennement, quelques fissures de cuisson et une réparation sans manque sur une guirlande. La discrétion des réparations ne nécessite aucun travail supplémentaire. Deux taches dans le tain du miroir.

SEVRES BISCUIT LARGE TABLE MIRROR XIXth

Two colors biscuit.

The oval mirror surrounded by a pearl and a laurel wreath is in the center of a skylight panel. The pediment is a woman's medallion (Marie Antoinette?) Surrounded by garlands and surrounded on either side by cornucopias. The attributes of Mars adorn the bottom of the mirror; a garland of ribbons is mixed with a seedling of flowers and buttons. Two drapes, acanthus and volutes are the low bet of this beautiful mirror. The work is done in the spirit of Wedgwood, there is no mark despite the quality and wealth of detail. Moreover,     Sèvres made biscuits in imitation of Wedgwood jasper. The extreme rarity of this table mirror is due to its material little used for a mirror and in fact to its fragility.

Very good state for this type of object. The bottom drapes have been repaired in the past, a few cooking cracks and a flawless repair on a garland. The discretion of the repairs does not require any additional work. Two spots in the mirror
