Great black and white group photo, labeled Orkney & Shetland Society Picnic Dundas Aug. 14, 1926. According to on-line info, The Orkney & Shetland Society was formed in 1885 in Chicago. Five years later, women were allowed "honorary" membership. I can see at least one man in a kilt (near center) with Scottish cap. All the clothing and hats are very interesting. Dundas is the name of a Scottish clan and also name of cities in Canada, US, Australia, and Greenland. Dundas could be reference to the clan or the location. Maybe your ancestor is pictured here. 29.25" x 6.75". Twisted wire on back for hanging. Will refund any significant overage in shipping charge.
