This small container holds a brood of tropical springtails to be used in cleaning a terrarium to prevent mold growth and eat decomposing matter.

This species isn't as hardy as their temperate cousins due to its need for higher temperatures and humidity, but that makes it better for a tropical tank. Choose whatever works best for your needs!

They can easily be bred into greater numbers by being put in a larger container filled with nothing but chunks of burned wood and water and given time. I read that they prefer brewers yeast for food and that is what is safest for them to eat, otherwise, give them grains of rice or oats to eat. But don't give them too much or they will suffocate from the decomposing gases.

I will send another container if the springtails inside die before reaching their destination, but only if you read the warning below first. I don't count the number of springtails that I put in a container. But I can guarantee that you will get at least a few dozen.
