Wild Sky Gear mini or large pillow dry bag

My take on the humble pillow: I’ve integrated a fluffy fleece liner into a big DCF zip pouch with taped seams and an aquaguard zip. Fully useable as a dry place to store your spare clothes during the day, at night you can fold the fleece lining out, fill it up with unwanted clothing and have a lovely fleece pillow for minimal weight penalty as you can substitute it in for that dry bag you’re carrying anyway. The mini weighs just 32g!

The soft, US made polartec® microfleece lining is lightweight and keeps your face warm and dry, whilst the grey 1oz DCF with a YKK AQUAGUARD® zip and taped seams provides you with a dry place to stash clothes during the day and night.

DCF is made in the USA (as is the polartec fleece). It has a waterproof rating of 20KHH+ (some silnylons are just 1.5KHH) and contains dyneema, the strongest fibre on earth, making it viciously tough for the weight. It is easily repaired too and bonds with my stick on loops, mitten hooks and buckles allowing you to stick the pillow to your sleeping mat!

Waterproof- in the context of normal use this is very highly water resistant. The DCF is waterproof (HH20K+), it has taped seams and an aquaaguard zip, but it is not submersion .proof. Like all manufacturers I would advise protecting moisture sensitive items with a zip lock bag. Unsuitable for water sports

About Wild Sky Gear

Wild Sky Gear was started by Skye McGregor, a British 15 year old who hiked Lands’ End to John O'Groats solo. I hiked through the winter and to keep my pack light started making my own gear and then sold some of the surplus. This turned out to be a bit more successful than I had anticipated, and now I’m constantly sewing.
