The smooth finish is a hand-applied wax-based sealer which gives this collection a deceivingly understated look. With the 5.5x13 size, 10 plies of maple offer great low-end body, while the tighter diameter and shallower depth emphasize attack and articulation. True Pitch tension rods fitted in brass inserts, DW/Remo Tuning Sequence heads, and the DW Mag drop-style throw-off complete this a gig-ready addition for anyone looking for a snare with a little more cut.
