10 Jan 71 BFPS 1160 RAF Tern Hill Commemorating the Formation of the RAF Rotary - Winged Force. Flown in Westland Whirlwind

Personally Signed by  Westland Whirlwind Pilot Captain  Wg Cdr F Barnes and  A Erich Hartmann,  He joined the Luftwaffe and was sent to the Eastern Front in the autumn in 1942. An outstanding pilot he was appointed Squadron Commander of Fighter Group 53 in 1944. Flying a ME109 it is claimed he made 352 kills during WW11. In 30 months of fighting he flew 1,425 combat missions and was shot down sixteen times but was never wounded. Erich Hartmann was captured by the Red Army in 1945 and held in a prison camp for ten years. After his release in 1955 he joined the West German Air force Top WW11 Fighter pilot also Signed by was a German World War II fighter ace and was credited with 93 aerial victories achieved in 640 combat missions, among the numerous ground attack missions.

also Signed by Franz-Josef Beerenbrock KC & Oakleavers was a German fighter pilot during World War II. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Beerenbrock was credited with 117 aerial victories in approximately 400 combat missions, all on the Eastern Front. In November 1942 he became a prisoner of war for the rest of the war.

Lt Col William J Schildt 82nd Pursuit Group flew to England and later flew to North Africa USA Fight Ace with 6 Victories. . Certified Copy no 5 of 14 issued
