This listing is for materials (see the list below for the non-counter materials) meant to improve the play of World War 3 (SPI). This Variant Counter Set includes 600+ beautifully done Variant Counters. The counters are the standard 1/2" square size (as are the game's original counters) and finely colored. (All counters are licensed, approved and produced by gamingthing)! Some to all of the non-counter materials may emailed upon shipment of your purchase.
The counters listed here are about the thickness of a standard counter (but not exactly the same thickness). The counters are the size and very near the thickness of a standard counter with vivid laser printed colors. Some of the non-counter items will be downloadable from links sent in an email. There is substantial labor involved in precisely cutting 600+ counters; the per counter cost of this listing is much lower than many other sets I have seen on eBay. It is not uncommon to pay $10 or more for 40 counters or less while this listing contains 15 times as many counters!!
The counters will be shipped individually cut rather than in uncut sheets. The color shades of the actual counters may differ from those seen on your monitor. Because of the labor and printing (variant counters are sent to professional printers to produce a high quality product) involved it may take 5 business days to ship this item. World War 3 designed by James Dunnigan is a simulation of hypothetical scenarios of global conflict in the 70's and 80's. Six scenarios of varying length and complexity are included for 2 to 3 players. Lots of play variability as potential allies of each side may randomly not decide to join the hostilities! Victory conditions depend on the particular scenario, though generally involve having the greater number of Industrial Hexes - functioning ones that is, as the losing side may decide to escalate the conflict by launching ICBMs!

Expert Shipping!!! I am a very careful shipper. Prior to eBaying I shipped thousands of items commercially. Out of 1500+ eBay shipments, there has not been a single report of a packing problem. The packing materials used are light weight and nearly impervious to harm! My feedback frequently compliments my attention to shipping.
Rules:
An e-mail response is required within 3 days from the end of the auction. Your mailing address and a statement of how you intend to pay needs to be included in the e-mail. Funds are due within 10 days from the ending date of the auction. Auction win may be cancelled and the item relisted if these requirements are not met.
Within the U.S. for this item I charge actual shipping plus a $4.00 handling fee. I will combine items for shipping charging only for actual shipping, plus the highest handling fee cited in the listings for the items purchased, plus a $2.00 fee for each item after the first.
eBay charges fees of over 11% on Shipping Costs though I make no profit on these costs!! Nor do the fees I charge fully compensate me for the labor and materials necessary to process a purchase.
For international shipping, books and similar purchases can be shipped by eBay International Standard Delivery (strongly recommended) or First Class Mail International (FCMI) which is generally $20 cheaper than Priority Mail International (PMI). All methods are INSURED. The handling fee for International Shipping is $10 with an exception for PMI which is $8. Buyers choosing to ship PMI will be charged a $10 handling fee, but $2 will be refunded upon shipping. For multiple purchases, items will be combined to lower shipping costs. Buyers will be charged actual shipping, plus the highest handling fee cited in the listings for the items purchased, plus a $3 fee for each purchase after the first. Multiple purchases CANNOT be shipped using eBay International Standard Delivery and will be combined using FCMI or PMI.
