Other common names include Taiwan Mountain Lily and Philippine Lily.
Formosa lily is one of the tallest of all the lilies, easily reaching 5 - 6 ft (2 m) in height before blooming in late summer in the South or autumn up north.
From late August through early October, this lily bears eight or more 10-inch-long, deliciously scented, trumpet shaped pink flowers, suffused with wine-purple on the outer side of the petals, upon each stem.
Re-seeds readily.

Medicinal use : None known
Bulb - cooked. The bulb can be up to 4 cm in diameter. Rich in starch, it can be used as a vegetable in similar ways to potatoes
