The letter is an offer to sell the magic trick developed by the Laboratory, described on reverse.

This was in a file in one of Houdini’s trunks and was displayed in the Houdini Magical Hall of Fame in Niagara Falls, Canada. 

However, there is no envelope and nowhere is the name of Houdini mentioned on the letter.

This is not a reprint -- it is the original letter.
