Pair of Satsuma Gosu Blue Japanese Large Matching Vases 1930's-1950's

A beautiful pair of vintage Japanese Satsuma vases

Glazed in deep cobalt blue (Gosu Blue).

The decoration on the two vases is mirrored, with a Rivers Edge representation, two Geishas, Mount Fuji in the background and on the other side a Rivers Edge with pavilion and tree.
Lovely Japanese maple leaf design.

Edged with gold on the base and vase opening.

Due to the hand crafted nature there are minor inconsistencies, but they are a matching pair.

The backstamp was used by many in the 1930-1950's period

The vases measures 30cms  high and  approx 18cms at the widest point.

The blue paintwork seems to be intact, but there is wear to the gilt edging around the base but moreso around the neck openings.

Due to their size I have nominated Local Pick Up only, but happy to advise cost of postage when the postcode is known for both domestic and international shipping.
