This is a great museum quality Tiffany Studios Reproduction Leaded Glass Chrysanthemum lamp on the wonderful Leaf and Arc Base. The lamp stands over 30 inches tall on its 11 inch Bronze Base with a nifty patina to it. Quoting from Dr. Neustadt's Book, "The Lamps of Tiffany" "...one of the best Tiffany Studios bases, reputedly the most expensive one: The Leaf and Arc. In highly imaginative Art Nouveau style, it appears to symbolize the growth of a tree by introducing the three elements upon which its life depends. The roots which carry food from the soil are seen in the forked interconnected arcs. The leaves which effect the plants metabolism are shown growing out of the arcs. The air with its sun rays, moisture and chemicals is indicated by the recesses surrounding the leaves. There are ten horizontal rows of leaves and arcs, each containing twelve units...Its platform, 11 inches in diameter, is composed of twelve huge leaves hanging downward and supported by twelve legs". Just one great Base, all Bronze and nicely patinated. The Chrysanthemum  Shade is 22 inches in diameter and 9 inches tall with a 4 inch (4 1/2 actual) aperture. There are 1113 pieces of leaded glass, primarily Youghiogheny, Uroboros and Bullseye glass with wonderful quality leading in this shade. There are 3 sockets with pull chains along with an on/off switch on the power cord. The lamp weighs in at over 22 pounds. Just a wonderful Reproduction Tiffany Lamp for your home or office.
