Edible Inks are a specially formulated food coloring mixture for printing onto icing sheets, wafer paper, transfer sheets, fabric sheets, etc. The colors are matched with standard printer inks, then modified to hold their coloring better on the edible sheets. The correct amount of alcohol is added to allow for quicker drying time, which helps to prevent color changes and ensures food-safe quality. Although our inks are formulated to look their best on our line of Premium Icing Sheets?, they also look great on other brands and types of edible paper.

Icing Images' Edible Ink Cartridges have been certified by an independent FDA Registered Facility as Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS), meaning our inks contain no harmful ingredients of any kind. GRAS is an FDA term that ensures that all food ingredients/additives are safe.
Our 2oz. refill bottles allow you to easily refill the inks in each cartridge without having to buy new cartridges each time. While each bottle offers 6 refills, we only recommend 3 refills per cartridge.
We now have a 4oz. refill set, about 12 cartridge refills per bottle, Cartridges are refillable 3 times max!
We also offer printhead cleaners and a steamer to prolong the life of your printhead, ensuring good ink flow. All of our Canon series ink cartridges are high capacity cartridges that have an inner sponge to regulate the ink flow.
When the printer is not in use, Icing Images recommends printing a colorful page at least once a week to keep the ink flowing and prevent clogs.
Please note the following:
Each ink item, whether cartridge or refill bottle is packaged and sealed separately in the event of a leak during transit. Any loose ink can be cleaned with a damp paper towel. If the top of the ink cartridge has leaked, it is still usable since the top tab is removed anyways before placing it in a printer. Just be sure to wipe off all ink before placing it into the printer.
Icing Images does not guarantee the longevity of the ink cartridges when refilling beyond the recommended limit. A cartridge that has been refilled cannot be replaced for any reason.

Icing Images edible inks are specially formulated to work with our cartridges. We do not recommend mixing different manufacturers' inks and cartridges as this can create cartridge recognition and/or color issues. If switching from another ink brand, we recommend starting with a full set of cartridges and cleaning the printhead before installing Icing Images edible ink.
For your customer's safety, never swap out edible ink and standard ink cartridges on the same printer, as residue from the standard inks will contaminate the edible inks.
