This very popular spring steel wire/rod is available in a variety of diameters and lengths to suit your needs. We know that not everyone has access to cutting tools, so we offer the rods in a variety of pre-cut lengths for your convenience. The maximum length we can now offer is 1000mm but if you need a specific size length cut, see the 'Business Seller Information' box at the bottom of this listing to let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Our Spring Steel Wires and rods have been manufactured in the UK to a very high specification and are ideal for bending and twisting, making them effective in many areas of modelling and crafts. They are made from low carbon steel (Not stainless), which means the rods can be bent and formed into different shapes but still retain their springiness. Some people use them to make their own custom springs. The rods have a dull, matt finish but can be polished up to a shine, if needed.

People use them for all sorts of things, including: Model Making, Engineering, Arts & Crafts, Locksmithing, Leatherwork and much, much more!

Each pack of wire is sealed in a polythene tube and is clearly labelled with is size. We send the longer wires/rods out in stiff postal tubes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. The tubes are also a great way to store your rods, as you build up your collection of sizes.

The wire can be cut with wire cutters or a small hacksaw for the thicker diameter rods.

Please Note: These steel rods are designed for general craft and hobby use. The diameters stated are for a guide only and are not exact. If you require rods with a high degree of accuracy for engineering or scientific use, then this item is not for you.

We provide various shipping options*:

  • 2nd Class postage - £1.49. Delivery in 3-5 working days.
  • * Lengths up to 300mm are posted by Royal Mail.
  • * Lengths longer than this are sent by courier, in a stiff tube.

If you buy items from our other listings, we will happily combine the shipping for all items. Just use the ‘combine shipping’ button during checkout. Our shipping fee covers delivery to MAINLAND UK. It does not cover delivery to any of the offshore islands, Northern Ireland, Ireland or other remote locations. If you live in these locations, please contact us before you place your order and we will be happy to advise on shipping costs.

eBay processes all of our payments and we never get to see your card details. eBay allows you to pay with your debit or credit card or via PayPal. Their payment system is secured by powerful encryption technology, so your details are in safe hands. You will be expected to pay for your order straight away, after you click the ‘Buy’ button. We cannot reserve your items until we have received payment in full.

We provide a full invoice with your order. We are not VAT registered, so we cannot provide a VAT invoice.

STANDARD REFUND POLICY:
You may return an item within 30 days of purchase, provided it has not been opened or used. It must be in its original packaging and in the same condition as when you received it. Please contact us first, as we may be able to help and save your the inconvenience of returning the item. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item. Please ensure it is packed correctly and insured, as we accept no responsibility for its damage or loss during transit. If the item you purchased included 'Free shipping' we will deduct our cost of shipping the item to you from your refund. Faulty items will be replaced and we will cover the return/replacement shipping costs.

PERSONALISED ITEMS REFUND POLICY:
If you order an item and request that we personalise the item with your text, images or design, it Cannot be returned or refunded, as it is unique to you and we can't re-sell it. Please ensure you provide the exact text you wish to be added to the purchased item. We will copy and paste the text you provide and we will not be responsible for errors, spelling mistakes etc. If the item arrives damaged, then we will replace it.
