1&This katana sword is hand  forged and hand sharpened using Japanese methods to create a perfect  blade. Fully functional and battle ready. The accessories of the  sword are all authentic from the ray skin handle, to silk sage-o and  copper oxidized fittings. This is the best sword you will find in  the price range.

2&blade：The blade of the sword has been hand forged using the ancient method of sword making . full hand forged and full hand polished.The blade was made of folded steel with Clay tempered, and it has been laminated in a pucker configuration(Damascus steel). differential hardened and clay tempered, water quenched and polished.

3&The blade shaped shinogi-zukuri and has been hand polished with multiple grade sharpen stone by Japanese method, which made the surface of the blade like a mirror, the blade is also razor sharp.

4&The real hamon pattern is done by differential hardening with clay temperd. The hardening process is made by utilizing a special clay on the edge, so it gets a different temperature and cools in different time than the rest of the blade, becoming harder and quenching the blade when it is cooled on water. It is a very complex technique, as if not properly executed the blade will break. The fire can't be too warm or cold, only a good swordsmith knows the exact temperature. The blade then get its shape with a beautiful hamon hada and Martensite (grains) on its surface.

5&the spine of the sword- softer giving it an excelent toughness. The perfect combination of a hard edge with the increased Sori (curvature of the blade) with a strong mune, enables this high quality blade to easily cut through tatami, straw mats or bamboo for Tameshigiri.

6&This blade has a full length tang which greatly enhances the strength of the sword. 

7&Koshirae: The Tsuba (guard), Fuchi (sleeve) and Kashira (buttcap) of the sword is made of brass. The brass Habaki (blade collar) is a one piece brass construction.Two brass Seppas (Spacer) Secure The Tsuba.

8&Tsuka: The Tsuka (handle) core is wooden and it is tightly wrapped over genuine Ray skin (Samegawa) black silk Ito.The full Tang of the sword is secured by two brass Mekugi (peg) . you can unassembled the blade from the handle by taking out 2 pegs. Two Menuki (ornament) are on each side of the Tsuka.

9&Saya: The Saya (Sheath) Made Of Real Hard wooden Finished High Quality Hualee Wooden. A High Quality Silk Sage-O Has Been Tied Around The Kurigata (Knob) Of The Sheath.

NOTE:

(1)  A silk sword bag comes with the sword. but the wooden stand  in below item pictures is NOT included.

(3) This Katana can be taken apart fully anytime for  maintenance purposes, you can disassemble the sword from the  handle by taking out two pegs.
