The medal is presented for service to the armed forces celebrating 50th anniversary as the Indian state. The finish is silver metal, none are named.
There are three medals each has a slightly different finish.

2/The background is shiny and the land has a stippled finish.
3/The background is stippled and so is the land.
Each has the same ribbon, all are fixed and have an immaculate finish.
