CINEFANTASTIQUE VOL.22 #2

THE MAGAZINE WITH A "SENSE OF WONDER."

Cinefantastique was a horror, fantasy, and science fiction film magazine launched as a glossy, quarterly in 1970 by publisher/editor Frederick S. Clarke. Intended as a serious critical/review journal of the genres, the magazine immediately set itself apart from such competitors as Famous Monsters of Filmland due to its slick paper stock and use of full color interior film stills. Cinefantastique's articles and reviews emphasized an intelligent, near-scholarly approach, a then-unusual slant for such a genre-specific magazine. Advertisements were few, with most of them being only ads for other titles and materials by the publisher. This lack of "page padding" assured the reader a high proportion of original editorial content.

Features include Hannibal Lector, Body Parts, Freddy's Dead, The People Under The Staies, Batman II, Terminator II, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Scanners 2 and more! Reviews include Highway To Hell, Demon Wind, Chopper Chicks In Zombietown.

Condition: A complete issue with nothing clipped inside, no missing pages, top & bottom of spine rounding/wear, heavy wear/rubbing along ridge of spine, heavy/wear around staples, cross stress creasing along spine, vertical wear/creasing running parallel to spine on back cover (as shown), creasing along top edge of back cover.

All magazines are packaged with Collectors in mind. They will be individually bagged, and sandwiched between two pieces of over-sized cardboard. This not only helps to prevent magazine edge damage during the shipping phase, but it also helps to prevent folding and rough handling of the magazine(s). This secured package is then put into a cushioned bubble mailer, helping to ensure you will receive your item in the same condition that it leaves my crypt in! Please read descriptions carefully as I cannot offer insurance or refunds, and am not responsible for items once accepted at the Post Office. A quote for postage cost for combined shipping for multiple purchases is always available. Thanks very much for your interest in my items!
