Pre-Regime Preparation
- Iron or stainless steel mixing bowls are apt. Avoid other metals, or plastic. Use spatulas, or your hands. A pair of gloves is always convenient
- Keep Coconut Oil handy. Apply around your forehead and hairline before colouring. If the skin on your forehead stains by accident, it would be easier to clean up
How to Apply
Henna for Conditioning (Hair Pack):
- Mix with warm Water, Yoghurt, Egg, or Methi (Fenugreek), per preference
- Apply on your hair, and leave on for 60 minutes or more, depending on the intensity you prefer
- Rinse thoroughly, repeating as many times as you intuitively need
- After, oil your hair lightly for added gloss and shine
Safety Test
- Mix a small quantity of the Kama Ayurveda Organic Henna powder, per instructions
- Apply on the elbow crease, or on a small, discreet lock of your hair
- After rinsing, wait for 24-48 hours to observe any developments
- If you see, or feel uncharacteristic changes at any point, clean your hair immediately
- Discontinue use, and consult your doctor
Henna for Dyeing:
- Soak the Henna in Tea or Coffee water overnight. Add only a dash of Lemon juice if you wish. Excessive juice may dry out and weaken your hair
- On the next day, apply the paste on clean, product-free hair for 60 – 90 minutes, depending on the intensity you prefer
- Rinse thoroughly, repeating as many times as you intuitively need
Henna for Body Art:
- Mix the Henna with warm water
- Ladle the paste into pre-rolled or home made cones for easy use
- Light staining is achieved within minutes of application
