Very Good Antique condition, hand carved, Detailed re-inforcement work done to the four legs for additional support. (see photo) Has small chips and wear as would be expected with an item this age but these do not lessen the impact of this splendid piece
Unusual and imposing throne-like Chair. Beautifully carved with Chinese dragons clutching the pearl in their three claws - a symbol of the sun. Unusual carved seat which has been restored and reinforced with under-seat wooden shaped blocks for greatly improved support in use.
There are a few minor scratches, small chips and a (repaired) crack along the inside left side - but none detract from the overall magnificent effect of the piece. The photographs show all the details. Ideally the chair would be collected from Bristol, but if this is not possible we will ensure that it is robustly packed before being sent.
