As stated inside the front cover, this book was made primarily for the consumption of the US Occupation Forces in Japan.
It was printed in Tokyo in 1948 during the occupation of Japan.
The book is softbound with with a tied binding. The book has rice paper end pages. There are 371 pages with hundreds of black and white photographs and a fold out color Map of Japan (14 1/4" x 10"). The book itself measures 6 7/8" x 10").
