Mathieu des Longchamps comes from here and elsewhere. Born in Canada, he grew up in Panama, before studying music at the American School of Modern Music in Paris and then at the School of Modern Music in Buenos Aires. Emeritus adventurer and insatiable traveler, director of his clips and his documentary, he is above all a songwriter and performer, in French and Spanish.
Conceived between Paris, Milan, Cadaquès and Panama, Mathieu des Longchamps unveils an album with soft poetry, a record with sepia sun, mixed feelings, unsubmissive
elegance. He emerges from his melodies and words as a calming, an invitation to detachment, contemplation, letting go. And if the past is a recurring character in his songs, the horizon is also often there, with its possibilities and its moving colors. The adventure with a rear-view mirror in short.
Delicate, melancholic and solar, Mathieu des Longchamps is one of those who make us travel from the first notes, and with whom we leave gladly.
"Vivo en Panamá", his first album, is a passport to elsewhere.
