Representing the Greens Creek Mining CO. (believed to now be owned by Hecla) and Alaska Explosives Limited (after unfounded web search, believed to be out of business) that operated in Hawk Inlet, Alaska.

I received this from a local elderly guy that is selling down his huge collection of mining items.
This hat is believed to be from the early 90's. He owned an explosives safety consulting service and traveled the world. He was an expert in his field. He picked up this hat in person many years ago while consulting with the Greens Creek Mining CO. and Alaska Explosives Limited Company in Hawk Inlet, Alaska.
The Green's Creek Mine is the 5th largest silver mine in the world. It's located on the eastern shore of Hawk Inlet on Admiralty Island about 77 miles north-north-east of Sitka and 18 miles of Southwest Juneau, Alaska. Although prospected before the year of 1900 full mining operations started in the late 1980's.
Very Rare hat in really excellent condition.
