Antique Primitive Dibber Dibbler Rustic Farmhouse Decor Ca. 1910 Heartwood Pine.

Antique dibber (also called a dibbler) hand-carved circa 1910 and used on a North Carolina tobacco farm. Dibbers were used in a tag-team planting method; one farmhand use the dibbler to create a hole in plowed ground while another would follow behind to drop the young plants in.

Very heavy, has a good hand-feel, and is a perfect addition to your historical, Rustic collection.  Wood has been heat-treated. Smooth surface is from years of use before it was retired.  Approximately 9-10" long. One end has leeched some sap, since it is made of heartwood.
