Choosing a Gauge

Gauge refers to the thickness of the post that is inserted into the piercing. When choosing a gauge size it's best to measure one that you already have that fits nicely, with a caliper. If you do not have one, you can use a standard ruler with millimeters

16G - 1.2mm (Thickest)
18G - 1.0mm
20G - 0.8mm (Thinnest)

Choosing a Labret Stud Style

Threadless Push Pin - An insert that has no threads.  The insert piece is slightly bent in order to lock into the receiving post securely.

Threadless Click-In Push Pin - An insert that has no threads. The insert piece is NOT bent, but rather "clicks" into the receiving post. It is important to not bend this style of post.

Screw Post - An insert that is threaded.  The insert piece screws into the receiving post.

Choosing a Wearable Post Length

The wearable post length is the part of the stud that will physically sit inside your piercing.  For a labret style stud this is the straight part of the post, not including the disc.  We would recommend measuring the post length of one of your studs that fits you well in order to determine what length would be best.

How to Insert

The hollow post (either threaded or threadless) with the disc on the end needs to be inserted first into the piercing.  Once all the way through the piercing, the smaller insert piece can be either pushed or screwed in, depending on what type of labret stud you have.
