Choosing a Gauge
Gauge refers to the thickness of the post that is inserted into the piercing. When choosing a gauge size it's best to measure one that you already have that fits nicely, with a digital caliper. If you do not have one, you can use a standard ruler with millimeters.
18G - 1.0mm (Thinnest)
16G - 1.2mm (Thickest)
Choosing a Style
Earring - Will be a standard earring post with a butterfly backing.
Labret - Has two parts, one part has a disc that is inserted into the piercing first and the insert piece is then either screwed/pushed into place.

The wearable post length for is the length of the post that will be inside your piercing.
