Iris, 1886 (detail) - Double-sided fine art greeting card from an original painting
by John Atkinson Grimshaw (1836-1893), now in the care of Leeds Art Gallery.
John Atkinson Grimshaw was an English Victorian-era artist best known for his
nocturnal scenes of urban landscapes. Grimshaw's primary influence was the Pre-Raphaelites.
True to the Pre-Raphaelite style, he created landscapes of accurate colour and lighting.
His careful painting and his skill in lighting effects meant that he captured both the appearance
and the mood of a scene in minute detail.
Small square double-sided card with a smooth glossy finish.
Card size is 5"x 5" (12.5cm x 12.5cm) approximately. Blank inside for your own message.
