Please check the photo.

About 150 years ago, the French literary scholar Maxime Du Camp (1822-1894)
traveled to the Middle East with his friend Flaubert.
During his journey, Du Can took more than 2,000 photographs while carrying a set of photographic equipment that had just been invented at the time, and published the world's first travel photobook "Egypt, Nuvia, Palestine, and Syria" after returning to Japan.
In this exhibition, all 125 photographs from the original photobooks discovered over 150 years will be exhibited in their original prints.
In addition, Du Can will look back on the new cultural perspective brought about by the latest media at the time, which is his photography, while also exhibiting materials showing the photographic technology of his life and the Westerner's view of the Orient.
