SADLY, CLIFF CHAMBERS DIED 1/21/2012 IN IDAHO.

CLIFF CHAMBERS was a MLB pitcher from 1948 through 1953. He played for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals. Overall he was 48-53 with a 4.29 ERA and struck out a solid 374 batters. He was an above average hitter for a left hurler, hit .235 with 24 runs scored, 25 RBI and 3 home runs! The highpoint of his career was a no-hitter for the Pirates vs the Boston Braves on May 6th, 1951. An Oregon native, Cliff called Idaho his home for most of his later adult life.   

This card is a colorful, standard sized card (2 1/2" x 3 3/4") and it will be delivered securely in a hard plastic top loader. The photo shows him in a full color posed shot holding his glove and wearing a Cardinals red and white uniform. The card is a 1954 BOWMAN Baseball Card #126, signed clearly on the front in blue pen ink, just his signature with no other writing.
