Complete, Unplayed, and Unpunched!

TThe cover (low grade excellent condition as there is general slight creasing from being held along with white fingerprinting), magazine with rules detached (both are in unmarked excellent condition with only slight flaws), 400 double-sided counters (unpunched, nicely-centered front & back and in new condition, see the note below), and full-color 22"x34" map (near new condition with strong colors except for slight creasing at in the border area at the corners) are in low grade excellent to new condition.  Most of the counters are well-centered and all information is on each counter, but some are noticeably off-center.  Given the technology of the time, probably a better than average job of centering.  A rare opportunity to purchase four of the five Central Front games and enjoy an outstanding bonus (all were in stock in my eBay store when this was listed).

The outstanding bonus includes art (to be emailed) for counters (for each Central Front game!!) redesigned to use friction point rules.  The bonus covers all of the Central Front games with play-aids, variants, game reviews, and more!  There are materials for bringing the earlier games in the Central Front Series (Hof Gap and Fifth Corps) up to the BAOR rules which were revised (along with new optional rules added) to reflect new information on the organization and location of the West Germany Army.  This revision appeared in Moves Magazine #59 and #60.  Also included is operational analysis from Moves #55 by the highly regarded Charles T. Kamps Jr, and from Moves #54 by Anthony Curtis on the other games.  Some to all of the bonus will be sent by email upon shipping your purchase, if you send your email address (eBay no longer forwards that information).  Otherwise, instructions on how to access the bonus will be sent with your order.  All bonus and extras material are available for sale separately if requested.

BAOR includes two scenarios.  Thin Red Line is the campaign scenario covering the first five days of the war in the BAOR sector.  The Race to the Weser covers the first sixty hours of combat in the area between Hannover and Kassel.  This is a stand alone game or it may be combined with the other Central Front Series games.  It uses the same Central Front game system employed by Hof Gap, North German Plain, BOAR and Donau Front.

Game designed by James Dunnigan, John H. Butterfield, & Charles T. Kamps, Jr.  Published September\October 1981 by SPI.

eBay charges fees of over 11% on Shipping Costs though I make no profit on these costs!  Nor do the fees I charge fully compensate me for the labor and materials necessary to process a purchase.

See my Wargame Section for rare wargames, Variant Counter Sets (gamingthing designed) and over 60 unpunched Strategy & Tactics.  As this is being written over half of the 40+ year run of Strategy & Tactics are in stock.  They will be listed on eBay as quickly as possible.  Please email if looking for specific issues between 70 and 300.

Expert Shipping!!!  I am a very careful shipper.  Prior to eBaying I shipped thousands of items commercially.  Out of 1500+ eBay shipments, there has not been a single report of a packing problem.  The packing materials used are light weight and nearly impervious to harm!  My feedback frequently compliments my attention to shipping.

For international shipping, books and similar purchases can be shipped by via eBay International Standard Delivery (strongly recommended) or First Class Mail International (FCMI) which is generally $20 cheaper than Priority Mail International (PMI).  All methods are INSURED.  The handling fee for shipping is $10 or for PMI $8.  Buyers choosing to ship PMI will be charged a $10 handling fee, but $2 will be refunded upon shipping.  For multiple purchases, items will be combined to lower shipping costs.  Buyers will be charged actual shipping, plus the highest handling fee cited in the listings for the items purchased, plus a $3 fee for each purchase after the first.

If Picture Perfect Comics determines the Buyer's address is not suitable for international service, the Buyer agrees to cancel this transaction without leaving feedback if he does not choose to pay for PMI service.  In the event of loss or damage the buyer agrees to fill out all claim forms requested by the insurer of the shipment.  The buyer also agrees that no refund for loss or damage be paid until the insurer has settled the claim.

  • Any differences between actual shipping\handling costs and those calculated by eBay's software will be decided by the terms of this listing.  Shipping overpayments of less than $1.00 will not be refunded unless requested by the buyer.  A note with payment or an email at any point will suffice.  Buyers have made it clear that tiny refunds are unwanted.
  • If you have questions, please email prior to bidding.  Having asked my share of questions, I encourage those with the bravery to send an email to do so.  Shipping quotes generally answered within 30 hours.
  • Buyers with few feedback or even NO feedback are quite welcome and DO NOT need prior approval.  I am happy to help newer eBayers with their questions.
