3x5 B&W photograph signed in blue ink by Stanley Walters. In very good condition. He was a Colonel with the South African Air Force.  He served with Number 20 Fighter Squadron of the RAF in France during WWI.  Named commanding officer of Coastal Command in the South African Air Force. Stanley Walters was born in England but educated in South Africa. He flew in the 1st World War in the Royal Flying Corps in France in 1917-18 as a fighter pilot. After the war he returned to South Africa and in 1922 he joined the SAAF Special Reserve.
