1954 Baseball Dixie Lids Danny O’Connell Braves Hendler Ice Cream Left Tab SCG A

The 1954 Dixie lids set consists of 18 players. Each player is found in both a “left” and “right” version. The picture side features a black-and-white photo. The lids usually measure 2-11/16" in diameter, although two other sizes (2-1/4" and 3-3/16") also exist and are valued at a significant premium above the prices listed. The 1954 Dixie lids are similar to earlier issues, except they carry an offer for a “3-D Star viewer” around the outside edge. The small tabs must be attached to command top value. The lids are unnumbered. Backs can be found with advertising from many local or regional dairies which packaged the ice cream cups.
