This French perennial kale is a heritage plant grown for many years in Europe.  It thrives in British conditions, and will provide you with tasty kale all year round.  You can use it like any other kale - steamed and buttered is delicious. Or you can easily make kale crisps in the oven, which are a treat.

Unlike annual kales, Daubenton does not suffer from pests.  Even if the pigeons have a go at it, this plant seems to come back ever stronger.

My plants are grown from stock imported from France, so you can be sure that these are true Daubenton plants - unlike some poor quality imitations which I have seen advertised.
