Our primer recommendation:

We offer epoxy filler primer in our eBay shop. This creates rust protection and a filler structure at the same time. As a rule, these primers or fillers are grey. But that doesn't always work. For example, you should use a white filler for red top coats so that the red tone has a higher brilliance. Likewise, light-colored basecoats or paints with a high pearl content often have low opacity. A primer or the epoxy filler in the subsequent color is required there. Likewise, almost every new car today is already pre-treated on the assembly line with a colored filler, which is also cheaper for small impacts, since the lower layer is the same color as the upper layer of paint. A filler in the color of the car also reduces the amount of final paint required because it covers faster.

If partial painting is required, we recommend purchasing our paint-adhesive paint protection hood, which is available in the eBay shop. This wafer-thin hood, resembling a folding garage, is pulled over the vehicle and the section to be painted is cut out and masked. The entire vehicle is masked off quickly and protected from overspray.

Coating of plastics:

Plastics that have already been painted can easily be painted after roughening. If the existing paint layer has been sanded off or the plastic is raw, a bonding agent must be sprayed. If the plastic is exposed to vibrations, the paint can crack. In this case, 20-30% plasticizer can be added to the last coat of paint. For paint finishes:

Blending in is also referred to as a "spot repair". Apply a small amount of primer and filler to the area to be painted. Adjoining clear coat areas are finely sanded as well. Apply the base coat in thin layers from the inside to the outside so that the paint mist does not settle on the surface. Only use the last coat of paint to apply the base coat from the outside to the inside. Now the clear coat is sprayed over the painted area. Then add 50% fade-out thinner to the clear coat and spray the transition area. Finally spray pure blending thinner again over the entire area and the transition.

Uni lacquers in matt:

All plain paints (single-layer 2-component paints) are high-gloss. These are usually mixed 2:1 with hardener +15% thinner. All of these 2K uni paints are also available in MATT on request. However, this new trend usually has to be mixed 4:1 with hardener + 50% thinner. The price usually stays the same.
