This is the commercial version of the Francis Barker FB 1605 NATO survival button compass. Originally developed for the SAS as an escape compass, the small size allowed it to be sewn into clothes or even swallowed if captured. Today, this style compass is standard for emergency situations.

This compass has a corrosion resistant brass body with black enamel finish. The dial swings freely, and has luminescent dots indicating north and south. Approximately 5/8" diameter and 1/4" thick (16x6mm) and weighs just 3 grams. Extremely compact and robust construction.

Note: Check your local magnetic declination at the US Geological Survey to see the variance between true north and magnetic north before using the compass. This is the commercial version of the NATO issue item. Please message for larger quantity orders.

The default shipping is economy, which may not have a tracking number for domestic orders. If you require a tracking number, make sure you select the more expensive shipping option.
