Sears Dunlap Block Plane—restored, sharp and ready to shave!

This sweet little block plane is a joy to use. A house brand of Sears, Roebuck and Co., this Dunlap plane was likely made in the USA by Millers Falls between 1937-1956. It is also similar to Stanley's #220 block plane.

The blade has been finely honed at 25° to 8,000 grit then stropped to a mirror finish and razor sharp edge. The body and cap have been repainted with a super durable enamel. The hardwood knob has been refinished and buffed to a nice sheen with paste wax. There is light pitting on the blade and body, as well as a few scratches that come with age and hard work.

This plane creates wonderful shavings and makes quick work pairing end grain wood.

Length 7 inches, blade width 1⅝ inches, weight of 1½ lbs.
