The thermal
pad is used to transfer heat from the chip (bridge, microcircuit, VRM) to the
cooling system. Those. to reduce the temperature of the chip, crystal.
Primary
use:
filling the
space between video chips, microcircuits, video card memory, north bridge,
south bridge and cooling system (radiator)
The kit
include 5 large sheet with size 4x4":
100*100*0.5
mm - 1 pcs
100*100*1.0
mm + 3M sticky layer - 1 pcs
100*100*1.5
mm + 3M sticky layer - 1 pcs
100*100*2.0
mm - 1 pcs
100*100*2.5
mm - 1 pcs
good
thermal conductivity - 3.6W/mk
easy to
choose thickness - 5 different types
what is the
sticky layer for? glue the heatsink or copper plate onto the memory chip that
hangs upside down. 3M is very sturdy. Can be used as a regular thermal pad.
It's more like a bonus.
Installation
order:
1. Cut off
the required amount of thermal interface, the size of a chip or larger
2. Remove
the film from the flat surface of the thermal pad
3. Slightly
bend the gasket, lay, starting from the edge, on the surface (to remove air at
the junction of the thermal pad and the chip)
4. Press
the thermal pad until a light chip print appears
5. Holding
the gasket by the edge, remove the upper smooth protective film
6. Install
the radiator
Note. When
replacing the thermal spacer, the thickness of the new one should be 0.05-0.3
mm greater than the thickness of the deformed part of the old one.
any
question is welcome..
