Three generations of button tins that I inherited, sorted and grouped by date, material type, size and color. 

Late 19th century-early 20th century: Czech Glass, Jet glass, Brass, hand carved Bovine Bone. Goodyear Rubber. 

1920’s -1930’s: Mother of Pearl, Natural Bone, Horn, Wood, Glass, and Jet glass.

1940’s -1950’s: Vegetable Ivory or Catalin, Brass, Filigree, Stamped Brass, Celluloid, Ceramic, Glass.

1960’s -1970’s: Plastic, Metal, Fabric Covered.
